Kiss Your SASS?

Over the years I have developed a series of significant terms that have served me very well. They serve as a system that is the foundation for my projects and activities. They have become the language of my success.

One of these, as outlined in An Elegant Mind’s Handbook, is The 4F’s of Effective Action.

The 4F’s’ – Fearless faith, focus, and fortitude…what do these mean to you? As a writer and singer/songwriter, I have just begun another project that will give this system a workout!

I think it is important to any personal development goal to understand your motivation for achieving it. However, understanding how to sustain your enthusiasm and passion for the project is as important as why you dreamed it. The two are inextricably linked.

This is what I’ve learned: without this important foundation – your system for achieving success, you may not even take the first step. Without your personal system for achieving success, you will falter when you get knocked off your stride.

In this post, let’s dive into what it means to be fearless.

Fearless—when you practice doing something you fear, you begin to fear it less and less. This is the genesis of confidence.

This is how you lay a solid foundation for your success.

Fear will try to trip you up. It comes in many forms. I think of it in this way:

It’s too late. If you say so.

I’m too old. If you say so.

I don’t have the energy. If you say so.

I don’t have the time, or the money, or the support or resources. If you say so.

If you say it’s so, you will always be right. I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but its practical applications won’t stand out until you stand up.

Do you wish to be right? Or passionate? Enthused? Invigorated? Inspired?

Keep doing what you fear (of failing, of looking silly, of making mistakes, of standing out), and after a while, you will begin to fear it less and less. It’s treating yourself to Exposure Therapy. I call it Kissing the Dragon. It’s a BIG deal.

Being fearless is being courageous. It is acknowledging your fear of doing it but doing it anyway. The more often you Kiss the Dragon you will find it less and less scary to be in its company. It may even become your friend.

The same dung different pile mindset won’t bring you success. If you don’t make yourself or others a bit uncomfortable (others are your mirror) you are playing too small.

Rock your fierce! Flash the world your wicked grin! You’ve gotta bring your SASS.

Fearless is the expression of your abundance. You are unlimited in potential! When you are fired up by passion…enraptured by a magnificent obsession that is unparalleled in human history, because it is unique to you, you will be bold. Determined. Fearless.

Yep. It’s scary. Do it anyway!

Yep. It may not work. Do it anyway!

Yep. It may take a while to build your foundation and establish your momentum. Do it anyway!

Yep. It will seem like it’s too big for you. Do it anyway!

Fearless is the undaunted, undeterred, unrelenting, unbridled passionate pursuit of your magnificent obsession!

It is your mission and your challenge…if you choose to accept it.

Flash the world your wicked grin of triumph…and repeat after me…If you don’t like it, you can kiss my SASS!

  1. wonderful, uplifting, freeing concepts. A path to genuine, authentic living. All that a person needs to do is decide to believe that glimpses of truth are flashing before their eyes. Each writing that comes forth with passion and sincerity is a beacon from a soul that has caught a vision and longingly desire to share their treasure with others. Keep writing, young lady.
