Can You See?

The child inside you, your eldest child, is your creative self.  It’s the part of you that knows the meaning of ROAD TRIP! …and understands the language of a babbling brook…and meaning of jelly beans…and the true power of singing in the shower!

It’s the part that feels the sadness embedded in artificial happiness and the ache of unrequited love.

It’s the part that wails as you drown its dreams in sorrow.

It’s the part that wants to dance for joy, to celebrate your fierceness, and flash the world her wicked grin of triumph!

Welcome this part, because without her there is no Sanctuary and no artistry with which to decorate it.

Your eldest child doesn’t simply represent your creativity…she is your creativity, your zest and hue, and dance and song and smile!

She is the part of you that is designed to recognize Something Colored Beautiful.

Without her, you, the adult, are the abandoned one.
