Always Lead With Your Power Moves: Moving From Surviving to THRIVING

The Ultimate Bag of Bones Manifesto

I do not define myself by what I have survived. I define myself by how I have THRIVED in spite of what I have survived.

Here is my best Thriver’s technique:

Self-empowerment is a key component of a life designed to thrive.

Power move #1: Just Say Okay, I’ll do it.

Give yourself permission to thrive. This will mean letting go of the story that keeps you stuck in survival mode. How? By “reframing” the event. By considering the experience that you have survived to be a Tattoo Moment – a moment in time that is tattooed on your mind that shows you where you’ve been, yes…but also how far you’ve come since then.

Sometimes the triumph in this moment will be the fact that you survived. Your Tattoo Moments will serve you well because every time you begin to feel like a victim you can reframe it, and convert disempowerment into empowerment.

Power move #2: Take a breath, and break those barriers!

Take a deep breath…feel your sweet breath…breath is life! YOU ARE ALIVE!! Break those barriers of fear and suffering that serve to keep you stuck in survival mode. The Thriver knows that the only way beyond is through…barriers are meant to be broken…one power move at a time.

Power move #3: Reach out and take the hand…that is extended in collaboration, congratulations, and celebration!

This is where you exercise your power to connect. One of the many reasons humans have thrived in so many different environments is because we are stronger together. Thrivers have learned the benefits of reaching out to others. This is an environment of welcome – where collaboration leads to congratulations for a job well done which leads to the celebration of a job well done!

This is the cool thing…when you reach out with the intention to connect, you will always find someone to connect to, because your vibe determines your tribe. Thrivers are looking for you too!

Don’t just survive an event or situation. That is a triumph in itself but it is not the ultimate triumph…

The ultimate triumph is to leave it behind…and THRIVE in spite of it.
