HARMONY

HARMONY

Could this be the best the time of my life?

Its’ inspiration gleaming like a

sunbeam in the light?

What carries me along?  To what do I belong?

And if it was, how could I tell this story

in a song?

I wander on alone still searching of home

Longing to be longed for,

eternally I roam

To what end am I racing?  There’s something that I’m chasing . . .

A vision of a friend that I should be

embracing?

The teacher of my heart sings, “Let It Be.”

The voice is soft and warm as it gently calls to me

“If it’s truly what you know, then go and make it so.”

It’s up to me to sing in harmony.

I spin a tale of peace and fellow man

Let go the clasp,

extend a helping hand

As I let go of my pride, releasing what’s inside

I must concede I cannot pass this way

without a guide.

The choice to walk creates the path ahead

I take my rest in gratefulness

on someone else’s bed

It’s such a simple climb, but can be hard sometimes

If I don’t take the time to

take your hand in mine.

The teacher of my heart sings, “Let It Be.”

The voice is soft and warm as it gently calls to me

“If it’s truly what you know, then go and make it so.”

It’s up to me to sing in harmony.
